Dynamics for Marketing USL

Hi,

I am currently studying Dynamics and was shared a screenshot of Dynamics for Marketing Attach and Dynamics for Marketing USL. I understand Dynamics for Marketing is one license based on marketing contacts. I understand where the Attach license is coming from. But for the life of me, I cannot find anything in any guide on what the USL license is and how to get it and why it's free. I am guessing it allows non-licensed users the ability to work with Dynamics for Marketing. Can someone give me some insight into what Dynamics for Marketing USL is? Thank you

Hi crmhawk,

You are correct that it allows non-licensed users access to Dynamics 365 for Marketing. The 3rd paragraph of the How marketing is licensed help documentation explains it as:

Unlike most other Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement apps, Marketing isn't priced per user, so users already licensed to access any Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement app on an instance where Marketing is installed will also be able to access Marketing without requiring you to purchase any additional licenses. You can even request any number of free ("zero dollar") Marketing licenses to assign to users that don't have a Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement license, but these aren't valid for apps other than Marketing.

While it doesn't refer to it as the USL, this is the $0 license.
