Control AddIn manifest.xml file missing Error

Hi

I'm working on creating Digital signature in NAV using the Control AddIn.

I followed the following link

https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/nav/2014/10/09/extensibility-for-the-microsoft-dynamics-nav-tablet-client/

As mentioned in the above blog I created a zipped folder containing manifest.xml, javascript and css files.

I created a new control AddIn and imported my .zip file

digi.JPG

I then created a field in the Sales Header table with datatype as BLOB and in the page Sales invoice and assigned control Add in Property as

sigproperty.JPG

I then run my page from the front end and I get the following error "Resource manifest.xml" missing in the control add-in resource

Can someone help me with this!

You control addin name should be same as in the DLL you have defined.

    Signature instead of DigiSignature.

Did you select "JavaScript Control Add-in" category or something else in Control Addin page?

Have you rebuild the solution again.

Try removing the add in from the Navision page and attach it again.

Hi, i got the same problem today.

The wrong step i did, i zipped the whole folder with the Folder structure. You have to select the Image-,Script,-StyleShett-Folder and the manifest.xml and then zip then. For this 7zip worked for me much better then the windows integrated zip tool.

    Hopefully it helps

    Hi mrm

You solution worked. I selected the folders like script etc and then zipped it using 7zip and then imported it in the control Addin in the Windows client NAV. It works successfully.

    Thanks a Lot
