NAV 2016 CU 33 NAV SERVER INSTALLATION ISSUE

Dear Sir,

The following error message occurs while installing NAV 2016 CU33.  Administrative privileged used while installing & the user (Administrator) has proper rights on the default database as well as on the sql server. The default ports are free. Server Machine is not in domain.

Fatal error during installation.

 

The service 'Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server [DynamicsNAV90]' (MicrosoftDynamicsNavServer$DynamicsNAV90) failed to start. This can be caused by one of several issues. For example, the password for the account that runs the service may be incorrect, or there could be a conflict in port sharing for the port settings for the service, or you have specified that the port for the server should be opened in the Windows firewall even though the Windows firewall is not enabled on the computer.     Hi ,

    Yes we tried  that option also but still having the same .

    To day I try with CU 34 (NAV9.0.50528.AU) in same Server it installed successfully .

    Still not sure what's the root cause for that issue .

    Please check windows patches are updated, uninstall existing .net framework & reinstall it with web components.

    In server .net 4.7 already installed.

    Its .net framework issue. Install the latest .net Framework (.net 4.7 and restart).

    Please refer to this thread: community.dynamics.com/.../287032 it most likely will be relevant to your case, specifically this:

    We saw this couple of times, and the main suggestion here is to uninstall the older CU, uninstall the .net framework, install the latest .net Framework (.net 4.7 and restart), and then install the latest CU again, and this for sure will work, we saw this more than once now.

    OS is Windows Server 2012. There is no other version is installed in the same server machine.

    Which OS are you trying to install ?

    If you have other Dynamics NAV version, then stop their services first.

    As of skip the installation of SQL Demo Database and try.
