    Hi Ahmed

As mentioned, as per my knowledge isn't possible to disable the Publish button.

So, every users according to the Role assigned, will be able or not to update the data.

Were you able to find a solution for this - to restrict the updates from Excel Add-in?

    Hi

As per my knowledge, isn't possible to disable "Publish Data" button.

I suggest you to handle your requirement using Security framework.

So, only If an AX User have the proper rights can read and\or modify data within Excel.
