database log setup for "item group" update

Hello, I have a question about database log setup.

We want to trace item master changes, such as, DefaultDimension, country region, and primary vendor and so on.

Also wanted to track "item group" updates, and I've been trying to setup database log, but without success.

From AOT, I checked "InventItemGroupItem" and can see the field "ItemGroupId" is updated, so I have selected "Relationship between item and item group" but after changed item group in item master, nothing was logged.

Can you please help me to setup how to enable "item group" update ?

Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Eiji,

Tracking "Relationship between item and item group" is the correct setup. You should see an entry in SysDatabaseLog form. However, when you go to the history tab you'll see nothing unless you are logging into the DAT company, that is because InventItemGroupItem is a table that does not save data per company.

If you still have problem using the above setup, please consider open a case with Microsoft.

Note: The setup is tested on AX2012 R2 CU7.

Many thanks for your advice. I could see "item group" update in "DAT" company. This is a little surprise for me. but anyway this is the way how AX is working.

Sorry, I forgot to mention our environments, Our environments is 2012R2 CU6.

    Thanks a lot.
