Uploaded opening balance journal error.

Hi Experts,

For Test purpose i uploaded opening balances through DMF i used opening balance entity and then generate  file and enter mandatory values, conventional ledger account has been used e.g. 9999999999 as offset account whole process performed well. Opening balance entity generated journal are uploaded successfully but when i Validate the journal below error incurred:

Function DimensionValidation::newForValidationRequest has been incorrectly called.

Note: offset account e.g 99999999 is already in account structure.

    Hi Ludwig,

    Yes i already visit in this but my error was occured when import opening balance journal through DMF opening balance entity.

    The referenced above link give information when manual invoice journal is used and  posted then this error incurred in manual entry i did not got any error.

    Have you checked the dimensions correctly for each line. Do you have any advanced rules for your COA that needs a minimum dimension for the ledger account you mentioned. If you have a test environment try to make the same entry manually and see if that goes through.

    Hi Ashwin,

    Yes manual entry is working fine with same accounts that used in import journal and there is no advance rule.

    Did you

    1) In your processing group in DIEF did you have the options "Run business logic on insert or update method" and "Run business Validations" checked?

    2) Validate the lines in the staging table first before you moved to target?

    HI ASHWIN,

    Yes i did tick both field actually data correctly import in system journal but when i try to post journal system throw error regarding temporary account e.g. 9999999999

    Remember i use opening balance entity in DMF.

    full data has been imported in system but when i post it throw error because of temporary account

    What do you mean by temporary account?

    Hi Ludwig,

    Temporary account is assumed as 9999999 account in which normally total opening balances stand.

    The error occurred is mentioned above this error only incurred when op. balances entity template used for import.
