Hello

I a looking the Service Management part in Operations

I would like to know what steps to be taken In Dynamics 365 for operations to add a worker to the dispatch team in order to be able to choose the worker in the dispatch board.

Are there any good documents or links to look at?
Does it exists any good learning courses in Dynamics Learning Portal?

Thank you in advance for your help

    Hi

First you should create a dispatch team (Service Management - Setup). Then add workers for created team from Human Resources module (General - Set up). After this you can see the workers on dispatch board.

On my dispatch board I can’t see any created service orders/activities.  Activities appear underneath the board, but I can't dispatch, or see them on the board. Does anyone else have the same issue?

When will the drag and drop functionality be available for Service Management?

    Hello,

I have the same problem (i don't see activities on Dispatch board, but clicking Assign i see activities of the service order). Activities not appear underneath the board, I see only workers of Dispatch team!

Who know how to resolve it or this function in the Developing and does not work yet?

    Thanks

Did you ever identify the root cause for why the activities grid is blank?

We have a similar situation, where the module is configured and clicking "assign" lists activities assigned to other workers but the activity overview grid is empty.

    Hi Gary.

I assume the reason is a missing / wrong setup. Please check the "Activities" parameters in the service management module. I have "Activity generation stage" = in process and "Service order category" = Appointment.

As soon as i set the status "in process" in the service order it is visible in the dispatch board.

    best regards

    Christoph

    I'm hearing two problems.

    1. Actions not displaying at the bottom of the Dispatch board.

-- Christoph is correct that it appears automatically created actions are what display in this field.

    2. Assigned and dispatch actions not displaying at the top of the Dispatch board

-- Nobody has provided an answer to this issue (that I've seen).  I got it to display something by accident, once, when I assigned calendar to each dispatch team.  I haven't been able to replicate and it's stopped working.

    Hi,

I had the same issue and solved it the following way:

First you create a Dispatch team under Service management > Dispatch teams

Afterwards you go to Human resources > Workers > Employees and there you pick out the employee you need and click on GENERAL and there under SET UP -> Dispatch team. There you assign this employee to the previously created team. Now you can return to the dispatch board and after a refresh the added employee should appear on the board.

    I hope this was helpful

    Good morning everyone,

I'm having difficulty with the Dispatch board (common theme).

    - I have dispatch teams

    - Workers assigned to the dispatch team

    - The same calendar assigned to workers as is in the service management parameters

    - I can see activities listed at the bottom of the Dispatch board

    - I can see Dispatch team members

    - I CAN NOT see Dispatch team members' availability or the amount of hours they're reserved in the upper portion of the dispatch board.

-- I have this working in a test box, but not in a Dev box.  I've walked through the configurations I can think of all of them match.

    Thoughts?

    Hi everybody.

For everybody asking why can't see the availability of the worker in the dispatch board.

Remember that each worker in the dispatch team needs to have a Resource created in the production module.
