Hi,

Do you know if there are any plans to move the Customer Card Add-In out of the preview mode?

We are looking into using it, but don't want to waste time on a feature that may be excluded soon.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Customer Insights’ (CI) goal is to offer an easy way to make CI data available in Dynamics 365 apps and Power platform.

The Customer Insights card add-in has no GA date, because most customers are transitioning to use CI data through the Dataverse because this provides additional customization options. This recommended sustainable consumption service for CI data is Dataverse with its connectors and API. For time being, the card add-in is our out-of-the-box solution for showing some AuI data in D365 apps: It used by some of our customers and has no deprecation date announced.

    Hi Nils,

Thank you for a quick reply.

The combination of the data from CI to Dataverse sounds good, but if I understand correctly, there is no way to use this option for already existing production instance, right? Or would it be possible to combine the existing CI environment with existing CRM Dataverse?

    Hi,

    I'll answer in two parts:

A: Correct, the Customer insights app doesn't allows you to edit an already configured Dataverse instance. Depending on your exact scenario, our support team can help with that. Please file a support request to start this process:

These are the steps to take to start a support request:

    1. Sign in to the Power Platform admin center with your admin credentials: admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/
    2. Select Help + support > New support request.

Please consult this page for details on support requests: docs.microsoft.com/.../get-help-support

B: If your only goal is to get access to CI data from a Dynamics 365 app, then you can try this option: docs.microsoft.com/.../connection-common-data-service
