We have observed an issue related to dimension values in Business Central when the "Enable Data Check" option is enabled in the General Ledger setup. Below is the detailed description of the scenario:
When changing the dimension values on a journal line for an account that has default dimension values and a value posting type set to "Same Code" on the master, the system appropriately gives an error, allowing the user to correct it.
However, when the "Enable Data Check" option is activated, performing the same action causes the application to crash.
I have gone through the attachment, and the described step is the default functionality. If you have selected Same Code in Value Posting, it means the dimension code and dimension value code, such as "SALES," are mandatory. The system will throw an error while posting the document if the value is changed.
If you want to change the dimension at posting time, you can select Code Mandatory in Value Posting instead.
