Hello everyone,
I have some concerns about RSO for FS that are the below:
1. The RSO license per resource, means a user as a resource type or any resource type?
2. If the resource type is a crew that consists of 5 people and we need to optimize the schedule for every member in that crew based on different goals and scopes, how many RSO license(s) do we need?
3. Will the RSO be able to optimize the field service technicians' schedule even if they have the D365 Team member license?
Any advice is highly appreciated.
Thank you!
A crew is intended to all be scheduled together, but based on your scenario it sounds like you are trying to assign different jobs to member of the crew at the same time? If so, forgetting RSO, I don't think crew is the right path to take. But to answer your question...assuming you are in fact assigning one work order to the entire crew...i actually don't know off hand. Let me ask my colleague to jump in.
Hey Dan Gittler - Dynamics Field Service ,
Thank you for your reply.
What about this question - If the resource type is a crew that consists of 5 people and we need to optimize the schedule for every member in that crew based on different goals and scopes, how many RSO license(s) do we need?
I look forward to your response.
Yes, RSO is licensed based on any resource that you choose to optimize, regardless if the resource is a user, account, contact, etc. RSO can optimize team member licensed users.
