Take a look at Skyvia - it provides good functionality for QuickBooks to Dynamics 365 integration skyvia.com/.../integrate-dynamics-crm-quickbooks

It doesn't require installation and allows you to work directly from a web browser. The Freemium model is available - feel free to test it!

I wish I had seen your post earlier!

The fastest and easiest way to export monthly history from QuickBooks Desktop is with TBX Trial Balance Exporter.

It will export to a csv monthly history that can be used to import journal entries of history for comparative financial reporting. It also offers a replacement table for class names used as departments.

TBX 6.2 should release by 3/2/18 and will include a new one column export with each month differentiated by 12 dates and references, making JE imports even easier.

What is configuration package?  I'm curious as I am coming from QB as well.  I am having issues with my bank transactions.  I have my accounts linked with dynamics and looks like some recent transactions have started to come in.  I only need one year of data from Jan 1 2017 to today.  How do you recommend bringing in the transactions?

I've done this a bunch of times...

    Basically here is my approach

GL - if you want 7 years of data ( lets assume starting from 01/01/2010)

    1) import via configuration package - Ending trial balance as of 12/31/2009 ( export from QB)

    2) import via configuration package - Net Change trial balance for each month Starting 1/31/2010 to 12/31/2015

    3) import via configuration package - Import GL detail trans from 01/01/2016 to 12/31/2017

    4) import via configuration package - Open AR ( Change Rev Account to the AR account so no net change in GL value)

5)import via configuration package - Open AP ( Change EXP Account to the AP account so no net change in GL value)

I'm sure there are other ways todo this this is what has worked well for me.

    Hello,

Based on the questions you have I would recommend finding a CSP partner who can assist you with this.

    www.microsoft.com/.../search

There is a built-in migration tool that will bring over master records and other data depending on whether you're migrating from QB Online or On-Prem.  They will not migrate over historical data.

There have been some other discussions on this topic that you can review:

    Thanks,

    Chris
