Hi all,

I am new to D365. I need to know. If I have a form designed already in D365. Now I  need to change the form.

How can I do that.? Do I want to go Extension / Overlayering.

Similarly for table objects , class objects If I want to over ride a method. How can I do that?

When I need to use Extension and how to do achieve ? take example... I have created a new table. and I also I need to do custamization on existing tables like custtable / invent table.

Give me an example, or kindly tell me a class done examples in D365. so that I can refer that object.

    Hi sukrut,

I have few Table, views in Ax 2012. After Migration, I got issue an issue.

like this, I have 5 views.

BankDocumentBankChequeTableView  for this view....there is a field called description.

I have created extension for all the view. the thing is,

In ax 2012, this field size is 60 and now it is made 120. but it is not reflecting in the view that is in D365.

similarly I have 6 views.. issue is similar.... all the fields whose size is 60 and EDT is changed with another size (120) in ax 2012. but not showing in D365.

I want to achieve by making this EDT with 60 to newly created EDT with 120

I try to change the EDT size in view but unable to make change in the View Extension. Kindly suggest me as soon as possible.

    Thanks & Regards,

    parimal,

For your specific scenario that you just wrote about changing the property of EDT, it is not possible using Extensions as of now. You can only achieve it by overlayering.
