I am facing issue with workflow notification. System is not giving any notification in my D365 environment. Any suggestion or tricks to show notification.

Hi All,
I Used "Email Notification" for Customer and it was a great success :)
But Now i am trying the Notification in the Client (Alerts) wichs are implemented in Platform update 15 See the links :

And the WF is still Queued.

I'm wondering the same thing with Prashant, but Andre clarified that this is due to the missing functionality of alerts that there are no notifications inside D365 like the AX2012 notification bell.

Note that the Alerts functionality to get notifications in the client were not (yet) moved from AX2012 to Dynamics 365. You can read it on the next page: docs.microsoft.com/.../ax-2012-features-not-implemented-but-not-deprecated
Instead, you can now use email notifications like Ludwig mentioned.

Hi Prashant Kumar,
Things have changed a lot from AX2012. You cannot easily create an approval Email as in AX2012 where users could directly respond to and approve or reject through an Email link. The only thing you can currently do is inserting a D365FO link into the Email that allows you opening the pending vendor invoices form.
I'm just working on a blog post that shows how to overcome those changes/shortcomings. Will keep you updated on that.

Thanks for your reply. Like AX 2012 we don't have notification message for workflow notification. I am expecting the same. in AX 2012 you can click on the notification and it will take you to the workflow work item to approve. That was convenient to users.
I do remember I raised this point when AX7 was launched and someone conveyed this to me that notification is not working properly as of now.
I would be grateful if you can get a chance to check this in your local machine.
Til now I have not done email related setup in my environment for workflow. But I am expecting system to show notification bell message for workflow.

Please check the following
- user is setup with an email address
- Batch group is setup
- email template is setup
- workflow is linked to batch group
- email distributor batch job is running
- batch jobs for workflow notification and message processing is running
