Team Skipper as Leave Request Approval

Hi,

Each person has a Team Skipper. I already implemented that under Relationship Types. However, when I try to create a Leave and absence request workflow I can't find a way to select this Team Skipper as the approval. I can only select someone by his role or by hierarchy (manager).

How can I achieve this?

    Hi Ana,

    I have not tested this yet, but I would assume the following:

    1. Maintain a position  hierarchy type, and assign that to the workflow:pastedimage1594113590800v1.png
    2. Make sure to build a hierarchy with these type, as part of the positions (you have mentioned that you have already done that)
    3. Finally, in the workflow use the configaruble hierarchy, and add the manager (level 1): pastedimage1594113708626v2.png

    The employee will not be able to select the type of hierarchy, or the person who should approve. But this should come from setup and leave type selection.

    Please let me know if this actually worked :)

    Hi Ana,

    Yes. The Team Skipper option is not available as an approver in the standard workflow. As Erik said, set up a configurable hierarchy, and then associate it with the Leave and absence request workflow.

    In addition, you need to set the team skipper as the "report to" person in each worker position.
