Inventory Valuation Report - To Group by Location instead of the Inventory Posting Group

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

Hi,

I need to group the Inventory Valuation report by Location instead of the Inventory Posting Group. I added the Location field from the Value Entry dataitem and then on the report layout changed the Group for the Inventory Posting Group to Location. Report comes out with the Locations grouped but I get wrong total sum  for each location when I generate report for more than one location. I tested my result by first generating report just for one location and then generate for all locations using same period and I get different sum for each location compared to those same locations when generated just for the locations alone.

Please I need your advice on how to get this correct.

Thanks.

Have you added Location as Data Item in Report?

No, I did not add Location as Data Item I added field Location Code on the Value Entry Data Item.

Considering the report logic, try adding the Location as data item on top of the report and see the working. Define the proper location filters @ Value Entry as per your location code.

    I think, this should work.

    Hi

Could explain better, maybe with an example, what you suggest to do?

    Thank you
