Hi Guys,

I am new to Dynamics 365, I have created trail version to start learning D365, I have created a entity called "Cont_Acc" and then I went Advance finding --> selected my new entity --> Click on Result then clicked new button to create new record, but it's showing the error message of "You do not have permissions to execute this action. Talk to an administrator to find out about updating your permissions." Please see the below screen shot.

    Hello Bahulean,

Please go to settings > Users > Click on your user > Click Manage Roles > Confirm you have the System Administrator role

    pastedimage1600795249198v3.png

You should also verify if your user have a license assigned. Please see this documentation:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../create-users-assign-online-security-roles

For step-by-step instructions to use user licenses, see: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/manage/assign-licenses-to-users?view=o365-worldwide

Please mark as verified if the answer is helpful.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for using Microsoft Dynamics CRM Communities.

    Hi KarthikM,

I guess you are trying to open the record from the Dynamics 365 - Custom App. In your URL, it says the app=d365. Can you navigate to some other app like the Customer Service App and open the url.

    https://[yourorgname].crm8.dynamics.com/main.aspx?appid=[customerserviceappid]&pagetype=entityrecord&etn=new_cont_acc

    Best Regards,

    PG

    Hi Claudia,

I have checked my user profile, it's default check "System Administrator", but still not able to create records in the user-created entity.

As per my previous comments, I think the url shouldn't matter and you should be able to create new record. It does take some time to reflect the changes though. Maybe wait couple of minutes after you create the entity.

Is that a virtual entity? It will have only Read, Append and Append To privileges.

    Best Regards,

    Hi Cláudia Amaral,

Thanks for your comments, the problem was I didn't promote me as Admin, After I promote me as admin it's working fine, now I can access my newly created Entity and create records.

    Thanks,

    KarthikM.
