Hi All,

Does anyone know if there are reason codes that we can assign to manual purchase orders so that we can have some visibility into why we decided to make the purchase?

yes

on 'General Tab' of PO you can find Reason code and comment.

you can set up list of reasons and user can assign/select a reason to create PO.

How about reasons for specific purchase order lines?

In standard AX there is no field for putting 'Reason' for PO Line. For header it is.

You may customized PurchLine Table in the same way as ReasonTableRef has been used on PurchTable
