Kernel build version not Update after installing CU12 with slipstream

Hi ,

my company want upgrade windows server to 2016. and as i know we must upgrade cu version

i have already install Cu12 with slipstreaming but kerver version not update. how can i now the version already install ?

is that normal ? can we move to next step for installation windows server ?

note : i already install latest version report viewer and remove - add visual tools

Please give us more information about your situation, because it's not clear to me. What did you slipstream to an installation? If you had an older CU and simple wanted to install CU12, why did you need slipstreaming?

Also, if it's really about an upgrade, aren't you looking at the version of the client, while using a client on a different machine then where you installed the upgrade? I other words, did you upgrade all clients used to access the environment?
