Production order for Sales

Hi ,

I have to create a production order for sales. After creating a sale order How can i do that from sales order page?

Is it necessary to assign routing no. for that item to make a production order?

Click on Planning action on Sales Order Page and select Create Prod. Order Action on Planning page.

Hi Dinesh,

After creating the sales order. You can go to the planning Action. This action is available at order level.

in planning, you have two option to create the production order with selected sales lines.

1) Item Order

2) Project Order

If you select the Item order then individual sales line will have a separate production order and in project order there will be one production order with each sales line defined as a separate production line in single production order.

To create a production order from a sales order

1. In the Search box, enter Sales Orders, and then choose the related link.

2. Select the sales order you want to create a production order for.

3. the Actions tab, in the Functions group, choose Planning. In the Sales Order Planning window, you can view the availability of the sales order item.

4. On the Actions tab, in the Functions group, choose Create Prod. Order.

5. Select the status and order type.

6. Choose the Yes button to create the production order.
