Production order estimated cost price

If i enable "Use estimated cost price" on the production control parameters form, and run the "Price Calculation" on the production order,i got the estimated price as below:(for one BOM component line)

I found that the estimate cost is based on the "Item cost price" model. i found no where that i can change the "Cost price model" for the estimated cost.

Does it mean the cost of product that we report as finished can only base on "Item cost price" ?

Many thanks.

It is on the costing version from memory, but if you are standard costed at the top level (as per other posts) you cannot change this, it has to be the item cost price from the costing version.

    Hi Steven.

For the BOM item and raw materials, i'm using "weighted average" as the inventory model, Not sure why the system still use the "Item cost price" when i estimate the production order.

The item cost is the weighted average at the time, the alternative is purchase price I believe on the costing version. What alternative do you want to base the cost price of the components on? Cost or purchase price? As for the statement on the cost of the product RAF is based upon estimated (from the estimate) or actual depending upon your setup. Then this value is reversed at end and the true cost posted - so again it depends upon timing and what you want. The RAF cost is inherently fluid by its nature and transitionary.
