Project Manager timesheets approved by Hierarchical manager. It's possible?

Hello,

In our timesheet approval workflow timesheets are always sent for approval to the Project Manager but when the project manager records his own hours in a Project Managed by him we want to send that lines to a Hierarchical Manager. It's possible? We don't find the condition to know if the line belongs to a project manager of a particular project.

Any idea?

    Hi axrookie,

    In standard AX, you can setup an final approver in case someone approves his own time. However this is just one person per workflow. You are probably looking for assigning to multiple managers.

    To be able to support your scenario, you would need to customize the WF document query to add the projects table and add the project manager field. In this way you should be able to select the project manager field in the condition.

    I suspected. I don't understand why MS does not include this as a standar feature. Timesheets deal with projects and seems reasonable the project manager could be necessary in a timesheet line workflow.
