What is a project quotation and what's the difference between project quotation and sales order?
Can someone explain the business of when to create a project quotation and what should be done after that? And how sales orders are related?

A quotation is supporting a phase in the negotiation process to provide information about prices or special agreements. It has no direct need to start logistics until you get the confirmation from the customer to convert it into an order. A project quotation can contain more than just items. It could also list e.g. hours or expenses. When a project quotation contains items which should be delivered as part of the project, a project related sales order or item requirement can be created for delivery or consumption.
