Thank you for the replies from MuthukumaranAX and Martin Dráb on my earlier question related to D365FO Sandbox. Much appreciated.
Now I downloaded D365FO Demo VM VHD from Shared Asset Library from my work login.
I want to set it up in my personal Laptop ( My Laptop is meeting the minimum requirements for this ).
Now my question is, when I setup the Demo VM do I need to ( Must ) login from same work login?
I don't want to use my work login as I am worried that Microsoft may charge for any of my actions in the Demo VM. I don't want my Office to get surprises because of my work.
I have other Onmicrosoft a/c for Powerplatform Admin login, which is personal login. Can I use this personal login instead?
Or, can I create a new Onmicrosoft a/c specifically for this purpose and use it?
Is your question answered? If so, please mark the correct reply/replies.
Note that if you are using a downloaded VHD, there will be no Dynamics 365 licenses invoiced by Microsoft. Other software programs on the VM, like Windows and SQL server, are time-limited evaluation licenses. If you want to use Visual Studio, you would need to have a valid license.
this should work with personal mail account. I don't know the details on the current F&O VM, but in former times it works in this was:
When the VM is started with the Admin Login, there should be a "Admin user provisioning" program or so on the desktop. This will ask you for a Mailaccount that will be prepared to login to the local F&O with these given Mailaccount.
If you are going to use VM VHD then you need not use your work id.
Your work credentials are required if you deploy a VM through LCS and not for VM VHD (downloaded from asset library)
