Renumbering of table fields

Hey,

We are in the process of upgrading NAV 2009 to 2017, and therefore, some table fields needs to be renumbered. Is it possible to renumber a "customized" field without any effects on it's data?

    Hi,

    Data won't be affected, but code will be.

    The code refers the Field ID and therefor the "new field" on that number will be used. This can cause erros during runtime/compiling.

    Renumbering will not affect the data, but rather the logic in the code, as Hannes wrote. E.g., look here for guidance of field numbering:
