Hi,
Our customer has 2 scenarios related to "open in excel" feature:
1) Quit permission to open in excel to a specific user to all forms
2) Quit permission to open in excel to a specific user to a specific form (example: LedgerJournalTrans) - i cannot find the "open in microsoft office" priviledge to this related Duty.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello Antonio,
Business Central administrators have the option to disable features that allow users to export data to Excel. The ability to export data from Business Central is controlled by a new D365 Excel Export Action permission set and system permission with ID 6110. If the permission is removed for a specific user, then the Edit in Excel and Open in Excel actions are no longer available to the user on any pages in the application.
And below link is about disable this function. Hope it can help you.

Thanks.
You should look for ExportToExcel priviledge. Have you looked but could not see?

Hi Antonio,
The data entities available on forms can be secured by providing access or revoke access via duties and privileges containing the permissions per data entity. See also my blog: dynamicspedia.com/.../
So, if you remove data entity access of e.g. the Customers entity, it will not be available anymore on the form for selection.
Hi Elsa,
Thanks for your response, but actually this scenario applies to D365 Finance solution, not Business Central. But thanks, because we are starting working with Business Central soon.
Hi Ergun,
Export to excel is a feature that we want to allow the users to use. Open in excel is the issue.
Thanks anyway.
Hi André,
But in this case, if I remove data entity access, the user will be able to view the data but not update it massively using excel?
You see, we are trying to avoid the user to mistakenly upload bad data in bulk, which will give us a lot of work to undo.
Your understanding is correct. If you revoke access from the data entities, the user can't use the data entity in Excel. It is also possible to provide only the 'view' privilege on data entities. Then they can use open in Excel, but publish back is not possible.
