Sales quotation VAT (tax code)

Some quotations created for the same customer and the same product randomly shows no VAT (tax code).

Anyone else have had the same problem? When I try to replicate, there is no problems.

Any ideas?

    Hello Palle Gude,

    Do you ship the products to the same address and/or have you setup your sales tax in a way that sales tax is dependend on the delivery address?

    We have investigated further.

    if we change the ‘Customer Req Despatch Date ‘ (field in header) the ‘Item VAT Group’ field on the quotation line gets blanked out.

    This happens when you answer the questions about updating on quotation lines. 

    Hence when we sent the quotation to the customer no VAT is calculated..5554.screenshot.jpg

    I cannot find a field "customer req despatch date" in my system. Is this something that has been customized? Or did you change the label?

    Yes, we have changed the label, the AX "real name" is: SalesTable.ShippingDateRequested

    Hello Palle,

    What you describe above in regards to the tax code sounds like a bug. Which AX 2012 version do you run on? Please have a look at LifeCycle Services. Especially for with CU8 and CU9 a lot of hotfixes were released for numerous tax and quotation issues.
