Windows could not start the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Unified Operations: Batch Management Service

I'm working on my local VM, and this service suddenly stopped, now I can't access my Finance and Operations system.

Anyone knows how can I restart this service successfully?

I assume it's a VHD. It is most likely some kind of AOS failed to start condition.
If you check the event viewer, you should be able to see more details. Do you see anything?

I have made an example in one of my local development environments:

Also, DEV VM's are disposable. If it breaks, it's rarely worth troubleshooting them; Faster to just spin up a new one.

    Hi,

Check the event viewer to know more about the issue, try to restart SQL services and then try to restart it again.

    Thanks,

    Hi

If there's nothing obvious in the event viewer, and restarting the environment doesn't do the trick, I would add another vote to Jonas advice - redeploy.

    Hi,

The Batch service is not required for using the F&O application client on a local VM. Is the web application working? If not, then possibly a certificate or demo license might have been expired. This can cause multiple services related to F&O to fail.

As suggested below, you can easily deploy a new environment.

Thank you for your responses, this is not the first time I face this kind of errors.
So as you all said, installing a new VHD will be the solution

And I'm trying to check all of your responses as answers but it worked only on one of them,

    Thank you anyways
