Sales price BOM calculation

Hi All,

I'm trying to calculate Sales price for the manufactured item using standard cost calculation engine with the following settings:

- Sales price is enabled in the Costing version setup

- Cost price model - Calculation group

- Sales price model in Calculation group - Item sales price

- Sales prices on the Sell FastTab on the component item cards are set up (according to docs this is where the prices should be picked from - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/supply-chain/cost-management/bom-calculation-groups)

But when I run the cost calculation then the component sales prices are picked up only if they have activated Sales price type in the Item price form:

If this price type is not activated and only Sales price is set up on the Released product form then this value is disregarded for the calculation of the higher level product.

Is there any config I've missed to make it work based purely on the Sales price from the Released product Sell FastTab without requiring to activate the Sales price in Item price calculation first?

Appreciate any help!

Thanks

    Hi Rahul,

thanks for your reply. Would you mind elaborating a bit on this proposed concept? The sales price is already activated on the costing version I'm running.

    Hi Michal,

    Please check the following:

    1. For Finished good and all BOM line items, you mentioned the Calculation group under the 'Engineer' Fast tab in Release product.

    2.  For Finished good and all BOM line items, you mentioned the cost group under the 'Manage Cost' fast tab in the release product.

    3. In the Calculation group, cost price model should be 'Item Cost Price'

    4. In the cost group, the cost group type should be 'Direct Material'.

    Hi Sagar,

thanks for the ideas however what I need as a basis of the calculation is the Item Sales Price, not Item Cost Price. For the latter it works well but not for the Item sales price.

    Hi Michal,

Did you setup profit percentage under cost group?

    Hi Sagar,

The thing is that using the profit percentage to calculate my sales price it's not viable solution in this scenario since this may vary and I already have Sales prices for the components defined which I'm hoping I can use. Essentially what I'm trying to achieve is to roll-up component Sales prices to calculate finished product Sales price

    Hy Mike,

as far as I know this is not possible with Bom calculation, because Bom calculation starts from the cost/purchase price of the Bom items to calclualte Bom item sales price.

If you are using Retail module you could use "product kit" functionaltity to build simple list of components. The sales price for teh kit is calculated based on the sales price of the components,
