Issue with Archiving PQ

Hi everyone,

We are having some issues with the archiving Purchase Quotes.

We are consolidating the PQ’s into 1 single PO using the ‘get lines’ function. So we compile a few PQ’s and create one PO. Then we just need to Archive the PQ’s.

The process normally followed is that once the PQ is released and made to Order and when the order is released and posted, the PQ is also archived.

Can anyone help with this. We have tried to archive the PQ by going in it and select archive PQ but that didnt work.

Issue with Archiving PQ

It seems you have two separate issues/questions

1. Is this the button you click to archive the quote? It should work and there is no set up for it.

2. The Get Lines function only exists on a purchase invoice to bring posted purchase receipt lines. Are you using this function on an order or on an invoice? If its on an order, then you must have some kind of customization in your system. If you have a customization, then this function can be customized further to include the purchase quote archiving part, this would be the easiest solution

Hi, You can try the following setting, Archive Quotes: Question.
This way, when you archive manually or automatically, the following confirmation box will pop up, and you can just click Yes when you need it.

Issue with Archiving PQ

Hi all,

Thank you for the response.

@Valentin I have the archive option and it works as well but I am unable to delete the PQ as I am getting a permission error although I am a Super user.

I tried to edit it in excel and publish it but it also didnt allow me. This PQ is from 2023 and it has been processed and we want to remove it from the list.

Issue with Archiving PQ

I believe its related to the status of the quote which is pending approval. Try cancelling the approval request and then delete the quote.
