Hello,
Good Day!!
We are looking for an option to find dependencies for a data entity at data level. For instance, to import Entity B, it expects reference data which must have been imported beforehand with Entity A wherever there is a FK linked. Is there any straight forward option available in D365FO to find those dependent entities

You can use data entity Templates. When you added a data entity, via the entity details fast tab, you can discover depending entities.
On this form, you can also load default templates which do have a set of related entities including a sorting for a specific feature set. This might not be complete, but is a great start. See also the documentation. docs.microsoft.com/.../configuration-data-templates

Thanks for your response. i have tried this option before. it has been categorized into set of templates(ex: 01-system module, 20-General Ledger). But i have doubts like, say if i want to import an entity in template 20-General ledger- can i just follow the sequencing/grouping within that template). Meaning- is it enough to fetch the dependent entities within templates? or do i have to look outside templates too??

Hi Fara,
It has been a while ago when I used the templates. It might be the case that not all will be present as the application is continuously updated. So, you have to do manual checks to be sure.
