It's all about designing groups in the right way (see Understanding Groups). And check out Add a Total to a Group or Tablix Data Region.

If it doesn't help you, please tell us more about your actual problem.

    Hi Martin,

Thanks for the support but I still feel the same. I don;t know where is this : "Add total", I just have in each data field: Hours, HoursPrice Amount the Aggregate function SUM.  Here I show picture of our old AX3.0 report how I would  like to look like. If a edit properties on CategoryId groupins Render Localtion: GroupFooter then it makes a left margin on the report dont know why, also a margin from the last row in the group

Auto designs give you little control, which is what you're complaining about, therefore it doesn't seem to be the right tool for your requirements.

I suggest you generate a precision design (right-click your auto design and choose Create Precision Design), open it in the designer and then follow the links mentioned before.

Please be pacient with me. The tutorial is based on Visual studio at template\Business intelligence\Reporting Services And i was following different tutorials where I says Template\Microsoft Dynamics\Report Model AX here I cannot see the any grid. the reports are previewed as a normal page report. That means I am working on the wrong side? because honestly I dont see this options from the documentations you guys are sending me

The link are about SSRS report designer. It's nothing specific to AX, just pure SSRS, but since AX 2012 uses SSRS, you can use this SSRS feature as well.

To be able to use the designer, you must use a precision design, as I mentioned in the last reply. You can find a bit more details in AX 2012 documentation: How to: Create a Precision Design for a Report.

I am more or less satistied with the result now that you suggest using the precision design - waaayy better with this -. There is one thing bothering me a lot. the report is leaving one page in blank in between (with header) when I want to print really is annoying. You know how I can fix that?

Where exactly is the blank page?

On the Report preview Tab I can the normal report of 8 (1 of 8) pages, if I click the Print Layout 12 more pages are added now  shows 20 pages (1 of 20). black pages are in between every even number: 2,4,6,8,10...20

It's typically caused by an element exceeding the page width.
