Is it possible to edit a timesheet after workflow approval?

From what I can see, there is now way to get a timesheet back to a draft status once it has been approved.

This stems from the need to edit a timesheet that is in the 'Unposted timesheets' form.  If the timesheet won't post, then we may need to edit it to get it to post.  Well, if it is approved then I can't seem to edit it.

Any solution out there???

    Hi,

There is no real solution. I thought it was possible to change some field, but not changing e.g. the project when it was closed and they had to use a new replacement project.

It is designed in a way where the person who approves should check really everything. Then you can also use the automatic posting correctly.  Unfortunately people are not attending too much and approve just because they have to.

In some cases we did reset the status of the timesheet header and lines. Then the customer was able to make changes and resubmit for approval. The same problem applies to invoice proposals.

It would be really nice to have a function to reset the workflow. Until now this needs to be customized.

You are correct that there is no way to edit a timesheet after it has been approved, and once the workflow has completed, there is no functional way to change the status of the timesheet back to draft.

However, there are a couple of fields in an approved timesheet that you could change if the timesheet hasn't been posted yet.  You can edit the financial dimensions, and the Sales tax groups.  While that is something, it likely isn't enough editing to really be able to change anything.

It would require a modification to allow a user to change the status back to something other than approved.

    Andre & Brent,

You are both correct. There is no way to fix it once it has been approved.  Changing the status on the header / lines does allow changes to then be made.  I think we will make that enhancement.
