have you any experience with .lis file for EDI ?

Hi, Experts.

Have anyone seen .lis file before? and have you made it from NAV??

i got a customer requirement that they want to create a .lis file from NAV 2016 and send it to their customer.

but i never heard the file name before. so now I am perplexed....

if you have any experience with .lis and NAV, please please please tell me your experience.

    I do not think you would find a person here who had done exactly the .lis export from NAV, as it can be quite rare case. However, NAV can produce exports in basically any imaginable file formats. What you need is to learn the file structure as Jonathan pointed out and make corresponding development to achieve such export. I do not see any major concerns of why it cannot be done.

    follow fileinfo.com/.../lis for descriptions about that file type.

    what you need to know is the internal used file structure.

    it is a textfile, but with a special format.

    best contact this customer, ask, what kind of software they use, which works/imports lis files. if possible, they should send you a file format specification and some test import files (sample lis files).
