AX 2012 R2 CU7:
The Projects module doesn't automatically create an estimate project for a fixed price project automatically like the training documentation states. Why? I'm stuck. I don't see any config to influence this. When I try to create an estimate by editing the project and right clicking on the Estimate Project ID field and selecting View Details, a new form "Estimate Projects - New Record" is displayed. No estimate project ID is displayed. Here, I click Estimate Project in the New group, I get a drop down box for Estimate Project ID. I would expect to either (1) click the drop down box and select a project ID, or (2) enter a new ID. I can't do either. There is nothing in the drop down box to select, and AX rejects anything I try to type here. Why? This doesn't make any sense.
