Fix advanced filtering to forms

Hi,

I am trying to apply an advanced filter automatically when a form is open and I can´t. I think it was possible in 2012. Maybe in D365FO is not possible anymore because now we have the option to pin those filtered-queries in workspaces? Could anyone confirm?

So, what I´m trying to achieve is the following. I´ve setup an advanced filtering on the purchase orders page that shows only purchase orders for vendors whose have *Contoso* on their vendor name:

Now I would like, and this is what I can´t achieve, that every time I open the purchase order form, I see the information already filtered.

I could pin the filtered form to a workspace (below) but I can´t fix it to the purchase order form. Is it impossible or I just don´t know the way to do it?

I don’t think you can quite do that yet. The tile on a workspace is the only current way to do that.

There is a new feature called saved views that you can enable through feature management. It’s in preview though. What it allows you to do Is make changes to a grid and save those changes in a view. You can then make that grid view the default view when you open the page. It works very much like it does in CE.

Not all grids are supported but I checked and the PO grid is.

Like I said it’s in preview so maybe you won’t have to wait too much longer.

    Hi CapsLock,

In 10.0.11 (currents in PEAP) there is a new possibility to combine saved views with advanced filters. Currently in saved views you can filter only on fields in the grid but with this feature you can do more complex filtering. Check the requirement here: experience.dynamics.com/.../
