I have an interesting conversation with a customer that is publicly traded. The Finance SME indicates that Management reporter and other tools are not good enough for auditors to be sox-compliant. Their old ERP system had static reports and the request is that we build all the financial reports as SSRS reports in D365 to satisfy audit. The 2 requirements are that the report be non-modifiable (SSRS), and display all filters and parameters chosen on the report in the printout (which out of box SSRS reports do not do).
If there is anyone who has worked with a publicly traded company that implemented F&O and used the big 5 as auditors (EY, etc) I'd really appreciate any feedback on how this was addressed. If it is indeed custom SSRS reports, so be it, but I thought I'd ask.
