Personalization - Publishing an Imported View as Default

Hi All,

I am trying to publish an imported saved view from another environment, but the 'Publish as default view' toggle is not available to me.

I have exported a default published view from a particular environment and have imported that file to a second environment. However, when I try to publish that imported view, the 'Publish as default view' toggle is greyed out. I have only seen this toggle as unavailable when I am trying to publish an imported view. For any other view that I create within the same environment, the 'Publish as default view' toggle is available to me.

Is anyone familiar with the constraints of this functionality?

Thanks

    Hello,

I am not aware of a restriction, however, in case that the environments dont have the same versions, it may lead to some errors. And by errors I dont mean that it doesnt work, but I had issues where I couldnt change customer data due to a personalisation.

The way I would approach it is to import the view and assign it to me.
Open the form and save the personalization under a new name.
Publish the new view as a default view.

    Kind regards, Adis

    Thank you Adis.

Saving the view as a personal view, and then publishing that personal view allows for the user to 'publish as default view.'
