Create Assembly BOM use SOAP web service

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I'm trying to create an integration with Microsoft Dynamics Nav and I want to create Assembly BOM. I'm using instructions from MS to create new items (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd355316(v=nav.90).aspx), but I have a problem to create Assembly BOM. When I use SOAP web service published in Nav I don't see part of filds (Bom_Description, Installed_In_Line_No, Line_On and Parent_Item_No) in XML file and object browser. I don't know where is a problem that part of filds are invisible.

I published page 36 - Assembly BOM. I need to get access to Parent Item No. property.

I want export data from my application to NAV.

I use SOAP because I can't use OData in my project. When I try do it (www.youtube.com/watch), I have problem - "Unable to add a service reference to the specified OData feed because

WCF Data Services is not installed for this target framework. To install a supported version of WCF Data Services, see go.microsoft.com/fwlink; I install this Nuget package (www.nuget.org/.../5.8.1), but I still have problem.

    symon7655,

Which page have you published as a Web Service to see the Assembly BOM detail you are looking for?

Also, I would suggest using ODATA if you intend to write data back into NAV from an external source (if I understand correctly, that is what you're trying to do, right?)
