Revenue cannot be allocated

We are encountering an error "revenue cannot be allocated. Check funding rules" while entering an invoice against a PO tied to a project. We do not encounter this error while entering timesheets for the same project and funding source (tied to the project) is automatically and correctly picked up. The funding rules are working fine and we have been able to submit 1 invoice previously against the same PO without any issue. Why could this be happening?

Thanks Vahid. I looked through the thread you sent. Unfortunately, since there are posted transactions to the project/ funding source, i do not believe we can remove the funding rules and re-enter them. System will not allow that.

    Hi Sampada,

Can you share the settings you have for the funding on the project contract?

    Hi Sampada,

I do assume you have multiple funding sources. The funding source with limits are also set for the allocation. The project linked on the PO line is also project with number LDL.15.00?

    Hi Andre

Yes to all. Typically we have multiple funding sources for our project but this one (LDL.15.00) has only 1 so far. Yes, project is linked in the PO line correctly.

    Thanks
    Sampada

    Hi Sampada,

In this case, it can be a bug in your environment. You can ask a developer for debugging the error or create a ticket for Microsoft Support. There were similar issues with the same error message in the past.

ok thanks Andre. We are meeting with MS later today.

    Thanks
