I am getting error while try to delete tax configuration, error: Configurations cannot be deleted while dependent Tax runtime document context exist. Delete dependent Tax runtime document context and try again.

Dear All,

I want to upload xml file for tax configuration. When I try to delete old one I am getting the error, "Configurations cannot be deleted while dependent Tax runtime document context exist. Delete dependent Tax runtime document context and try again."

I have deactivate tax setup. Please find below screenshot for reference.

Hi Bijender,

As per my knowledge if you create and post any transaction by using that extension file , system will not allow you to delete .

If you want to upload new tax configuration files you can upload .

Please let me know in case if you have any questions .

is the following error solved?... do we have to cancel all the transactions before deleting the configurations or we should complete all the following transactions first

?

Hi,

You need not to delete any configuration.

Step-1: Import XML in ER workspace with latest files and mark as complete (Not draft), if there is error then resolve that

Step-2l Add that configuration and make it active, while activating you have option to copy the tax configuration data from previously activated configuration like HSN code rates etc...
