I'm trying to remove some legacy custom functionality consisting of a form, a table (TempDB), a class, and a menu item. I created a new project/solution for the task and added the the files to the project. I then deleted the files and built the containing model along with a DB sync. The objects are no longer in the AOT but the functionality... form, menu item, functionality is still there.
Am I missing something?
Thanks for the help.

Hi,
How have you performed the build? Have you used build or rebuild option on project or you build model from Dynamics 365 menu?
Build, rebuild, clean solution and build, etc. I also built the model from the D365 menu option.
Building the solution isn't sufficient, because it builds only objects in the solution - which are none. Your objects still exist in binaries generated from the source code and metadata.
Building the whole model is the solution. Please try it once more. Make sure you're building the right one.
The model removed the objects from the AOT but I had to restart IIS to finally get the broken link I was expecting. Removing the menu item from the module was the final nail. Thanks.
