Hello everyone,
we are encountering problems with server side synchronization to our Exchange on Premise that cannot be solved right now. So all generated e mail drafts cannot be sent and stick in the system "Pending send". It is not that we do not know what to do, its just our IT security department won't allow us to open the necessary IP ranges in the near future.
Is there any way to save these EMail drafts from CRM to disk in any format and send the mail drafts with the Exchange client? This would really help us a lot for the next weeks. Thank you.
Kins regards
Tim
Hello Tim,
Unfortunately we do not have an out of the box method to save an email draft to a physical file type. I understand that in your current configuration, your IT Team is not allowing the connection from Dynamics 365 online to Exchange On-premise through the firewall which is why your Server-Side Sync is unable to function.
The only out of the box option would be to migrate the mailboxes to Exchange Online or use another third party email provider to send your emails.
Otherwise, if you do have a development team, they may be able to create a customization to send the emails once they are saved as a draft that would by-pass the issue but this would be something that I personally have not seen deployed in any environment.

Thanks and have a great day!
