We are currently using AX 2009 and are considering moving to Dynamics Nav.
This is mainly due to the difference in price and we have been told that AX is an overkill for our organizations needs.
My struggle is finding documentation on what the difference is between AX and NAV.
What will we loose in making this change?
Does anyone know of a Module Matrix that compares the 2.
I have been searching all day.
I understand that all the basic accounting functions are there.
These are the items that I am specifically interested in:
Dynamics CRM Integration - For Invoicing, Accounts and contacts
Broker Contract Management
Purchase Orders - created by the employees and then approved by management
HR - Tracking employees vacation, sick days, Overtime
Employee Expense Reports - created by the employee
Ecommerce
Budget Forecasting
Marketing
If anyone has used both products, I am very interested in your insights
Thanks in advance

I have the same question (0)hi,
follow moxie4nav.wordpress.com/.../differences-between-dynamics-nav-and-ax
in newer nav versions (2016, 2017) crm is fully integrated, nav itself has its own crm/marketing module
nav has also integrated an approval workflow
for the hr modul in nav follow robertostefanettinavblog.wordpress.com/.../hr-human-resources-module-in-dynamics-nav
nav also contains many relevant reports for you, also for forecasting
ecommerce: nav is shipped with a web client and a tablet client. it's easy to provide functionality via web services for external apps. there are many third party tools and ecommerce solution, which are fully integrated with nav.
so, good choice.
