Power Automate Flows are Triggered during Bulk Updated

I have Created a Power Automate Flow and i have added emailaddress1 in the /select columns/ so that it is only triggered if that field is updated as shown belos.

When a field is updated manually, This flows works very well well, ie only triggered if i updated emailaddress1. And in the Audit logs i can see this too.

However we have overnight ADF jobs that update our contacts. in some cases the emailaddress1 field has not changed at all but the flow is triggered. Even in the Audit logs logs we can see that that the emailaddress1 field has not changed.

Why is Power Automate Triggered in this case?

I tried the same scenario using traditional workflow process. And the same thing happened, it was triggered even when emailaddress1 was not modified. Is there something i am missing here. I thought it would only be triggered if the field changes?

    Hi,

The only possibility I can think of is that the field was updated with the same value, so the audit didn't log it, but changes to other fields were detected by power automate.
However, this is still an unanticipated error, and it is recommended that you raise a support ticket:

You can try turning off the flow, waiting a minute, then turn it on again.  This should make sure the new trigger settings are used.

Isn't it possible ADF is posting the same value to CRM? It doesn't matter whether it's the same value. It would trigger anyway.

Further more this might be interesting for your part:

    Hey

Most likely, the night job is updating with the same value.  Anyway, I would add a second condition:  Who's the user doing the change?  If the user is the one from the night ADF job, then do not execute. Otherwise, run.

Basically my Batch job will update contacts in D365 and also add new ones. in some case the email will change, When this happens, I want to trigger my flow.

However the flow is triggered even when the email address has not changed which is a problem.
