I am working In NAV2015CU12.

I am attempting to update R10074 Sales Invoice, but whenever I change anything in the layout, 15 textboxes near the footer disappear. It happens when I resize the report, add a textbox, or move a textbox. I haven't found anything that doesn't cause them to disappear. I have attached images of before and after I increase the width of the report.

Already walking down that road. Not sure why it's visibility is different than the fields around it, but switching out it's hidden expression gets it to compile. Does anybody know why that field would reference last(Fields!PrintFooter.Value) while the other's reference reportitems!PrintFooter.Value? (I understand programmatically the difference, I just don't understand what the field is for from a business/user standpoint.)

Open the report in the design mode and by using document outline window find that textbox and check the properties of it, and in the hidden property check the expression it may have some syntax error.

search for the textbox TempSalesInvoiceLineAmtInclVATAmount and check the content.

Correction. Removing the metadata from the report allowed me to update it without the fields disappearing, and it compiled fine. But running the report caused this error: The Hidden expression for the text box 'TempSalesInvoiceLineAmtInclVATAmount' contains an error: Input string was not in a correct format.

I have. Any change to the layout (adding a textbox, moving a textbox, resizing, etc) causes this, and it seems to be inherent in NAV2015 CU12.

I re-sized it with the mouse. I just attempted your suggestion of re-sizing in the properties, which had the same affect. Mind you, my goal is not to re-size the report, that was simply an example. My goal is to add and rearrange the fields in the header and a few of the columns in the body, but any change to the layout (adding a textbox, moving a textbox, resizing) causes the fields to disappear.

Hi

Strange error but if you want to appear just replace it any where means move from right,left,top,bottom then it is appeared.

remove the object metadata of that report.

export the report as text, reimport it, recompile.

restart nav service, try again.
