Hi
I need to determine the extent of NAV's constraint based production scheduling capability. My situation involves a variety of products and each product requires a different number of human resources and machines, with human resources being the primary concern. Human resources have different skill levels and there is an overall limit to the total pool of human resources.
So, can NAV produce a constraint based daily or weekly constraint based schedule given custom objective functions...like minimize downtime, maximize production output, maximize profit or some combination of the above?
Thanks

Another question regarding NAV scheduling. Can NAV handle human resources at a work center? If so, can it also handle an overall constraint related to a pool of available people. For instance, say I assigned certain human resource requirements to each of 10 work centers. Collectively the ten work centers require 200 people. However, I only have a pool of 150 people. How does NAV do that scheduling?
