We do not have bin locations turned on in the sense that we scan to them. Our items are static, they typically go in the same location all the time.
So, when setting up the stock counts, it was a little frustrating that you couldn't mass add by location, but that's another discussion.
Now we are removing hundreds of obsolete items and would like to mass remove from stock counts, but I cannot find an option for that and have searched the forum a little and don't see something similar. I'm assuming it's just not possible and we'll have to remove the items line by line.
We have thousands of items and have several stock count schedules set up with like 100 to 200 items per count.
Hello,
Thank you for your details. In Microsoft Dynamics GP we consider our Locations our Site IDs. In the Stock Count Schedule window if you click on the 'Mass Add' button, you can add all items by Site (Location). (Inventory >> Transactions >> Stock Count Schedule >> enter or select a stock count ID >> Mass Add button)
If you are cleaning up a bunch of old items, how are you 'removing' them? Are you just inactivating them or are you setting the item Type to 'Discontinued' on the Item card?
If you used the option to make the Ttem Type be Discontinued (Cards>Inventory>Item), then you could do something like this to create a new Stock Schedule and mass add the items by Site ID and an Item Type of Sales Inventory (which would exclude Discontinued items).
I hope this helps. It doesn't remove the old items from your current count but it would recreate them pretty fast and exclude the discontinued items.
If you are handy with SQL you could review the following tables and test removing the old items in a test company with a copy of live but this would not be supported.

IV10301 | Stock Count Line |
IV10302 | Stock Count Serial Lot |
