Error 'The selected address on the line is no longer effective. To update the address to the active one, you must re-select the address on the document'

Hi  Team,

while opening sales order we got  message 'The selected address on the line is no longer effective. To update the address to the active one, you must re-select the address on the document'

Getting this type of error, when we open orders created in the past, could you specify what would be best solution for this.

    I have the same question : is there a way to bulk update these Errored / Inactive addresses ?

    Thanks for this Reply, however, is there a way to bulk update these Errored / Inactive addresses? as we have had a couple of the customer addresses edited, which has now cused this error on 100s of our sales order lines etc.

    Hi Krishna,

    If the address is not editable, check if on the call center settings you are added as Channel user.

    Hi Krishna,

    Do you have sysadmin access in the solution?

    The warning on SO means that customer address has been updated on Customer master after the order creation and therefore the order does not have updated with the latest address.

    The last provided screenshot by you shows the active address (Status : Active), you can change the status to History to check if the address has been changed.

    On the sales order level you can select the active address again

    and then save the SO:

    This will make that the SO get the active delivery address from the customer master.

    can you please check previous reply, we are unable to edit the address as it's greyed out. this sales order is related of type retail call center

    Hi Krishna,

    Please set status to History to check if the address has been changed:

    On the SO header you can check the delivery address and re-select the correct address.

    May I know reason for this..

    because attached address has no expiry data. find below screenshot for reference

    Hi Krishna,

    This warning means that the address that the SO has does not applies to the customer account.

    It can be related to changing of customer address after the SO have been created. You can try to click on "Delivery address" and choose the active address on the SO header and then the warning will be disappeared.
