Is this by design or am I missing something?

    Hi Bill,

Did you validate if the "List in Open in Excel" checkbox is marked ? Can you send a screenshot of that page? See below.

    HI BillDoors,

I think it may be system behavior.

At least in my New environment (PU24 and PU28), "open in excel" is not visible.

I checked DocuTemplate Form ,Its data source is the DocuTemplate table, but no entity using the DocuTemplate data source has been found.

According to DOC,When an entity has the same root datasource (table) as a form, it will be added as an option in the Open in Excel section of the Open in Microsoft Office menu. This is referred to as a “generated” option.

Not every page would have 'open in Excel'

Only when supported data entities exists with matching datasource at root level and enabled in document template for that entity

    Hello BillDoors,

Not clear in which form you are trying to figure out the "Open in excel" option!

As suggested by Rahul; not in all forms you will get this option available.

If this is for example in "General journals" form and you are not able to see this option there; then you can go to Organization administration > Setup > Office integration > Document templates and then see if the List in Open in Office menu check box is enabled or not.

Even after enabling this you are not able to see the open in excel option in 'General journals' form (as an example), then simply Delete this template and Reload system templates as available in this form.
