System hangs when Marking to settle open transactions for a customer?

Hii,

When we Mark an open transaction for a customer, it takes very long time for one line to select, some times one hour.

We do customer invoice settlements from GL -> General journal.

It is happening for all the customers. Even customer has one or hundred open invoices. 

All of our AX users facing this issue even admin as well.

Please see the screen shot. What could be the possible reason and solution. Thanks

    Hello Rana Anees,

    How many open transactions do you have in your system? Are these millions of transactions or a couple of thousands?

    Do you know whether some modifications have been made to the settlement functionality e.g. in regards to importing customer/vendor bank statement files?

    Its Dynamics AX 2012 R7 and CU7. Base currency is SAR.

    Hi,

    I hope this seems to be an issue with Ax 2012 R2 and there is a similar issue with the AP settlement area.

    Take a look on the below thread,

    Issue have been solved,

    1.By removing unused configuration keys

    2.By creating new index.

    I'm not sure, by removing configuration will work for your case because that is something related with purchase area but creating an index in custTrans table could solve your issue. This solution can work and cannot work, please have a round testing before going forward.

    This has been done after doing a lot of research and performance monitoring to figure out the cause of the slowness and it is highly recommended to practice the solution in dev and test environment and make proper testing before moving forward with the solution into production (if in case, this works with your case).

    We have two legal entities. And facing this issue in both.

    In CustTransOpen table there are 8500 records.
